Did you make a New Year’s resolution to run more? If so and Zandvoort is your running ground then you might want to keep an extra eye out.
On January 12th of this year, a runner completing a morning workout, found a grenade from World War II on the beach. The police blocked off the area and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were called in to excavate and remove the grenade. According to a spokesperson the grenade was an English one.
