It is always important to look out  when you are out for a run. In Gelderland, a woman learned this lesson well after being attacked not once, but twice, by a buzzard while out for her weekend runs.

Most likely the buzzards were protecting their young who were no doubt nearby and police have advised that you avoid the Slikkemanspad for the time being.

Random fact of the day: the buzzard breeding season runs from March until July.

  1. Great post. It’s interesting what one can spot while doing simple things. I saw yesterday a mother bird with five little ones and she was teaching them to worm. People stopped to film with their mobile phones.

  2. Blimey. I bet she’ll be more careful from now on.
