You step out of the train station and head to where you parked your bike, only for your heart to drop into the pit of your stomach. As you check and recheck the portion of fence you are certain you chained your much loved two wheel transportation method to, you know what has happened…your bike has been stolen.
It may take awhile but after a few days/weeks/months, you let it go, you move on and maybe you even buy a new bike.
But for one lady in Klazienaveen, Drenthe perhaps she should have extended the grieving process a little longer, because after 17 years missing, her stolen bike has finally been found.
Police, who found the the bike last weekend, looked it up in the system and learned that it had been stolen in 1995. They have made contact with the owner and she will soon be reunited with her beloved bike.

Did they say where it was all that time?
Sadly, no. They just mentioned it had been found. I presume it was in a semi-good condition or else why return it to the owner?
