Stroopwafel, Hutspot, Tompoes and Bastogne
Last week, we reviewed some of the best Dutch Delights posts from 2011. Today we will finish off with a recap of four more Dutch foods that made the list.
- Perhaps the best tasting cookie available in the Netherlands, Bastogne are, thankfully, available year round.
- I haven’t yet met a visitor to the Netherlands who hasn’t fallen in love with the sticky stroopwafel. It is almost always love at first bite.
- Tompoes or Tompouce, no matter how you spell it these creamy desserts are a regular in the dessert category.
- With a unique history and a fitting colour of orange, hutspot was a Dutch Delight favourite.
So there we are, the last Dutch Delights post of the year and the last Cloggie Central post for the year. I wish you all a wonderful New Year’s celebration and will see you again when the calendar says 2012!
